Building Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Building our operations in Koforidua means more to us than establishing cold chain infrastructure. We also want to create opportunities for the people who live and study in the community, especially young people preparing to enter the world of work.
Our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Koforidua Technical University (KTU) is an important step towards this goal. Through this partnership, we aim to create pathways for students to access internships, practical training and employment opportunities as our operations develop.
We believe young people should have the opportunity to apply what they learn in school, gain real work experience and build careers that contribute to Ghana’s development.
Connecting Education to Real Work
Many young people complete their education with knowledge and qualifications but struggle to find opportunities to apply what they have learned. Without practical experience, moving from the classroom into employment can be difficult.
We want to help bridge that gap.
Through our collaboration with KTU, we aim to give students opportunities to gain practical experience while they are still in school. By connecting classroom learning with real industry needs, we hope to help students develop useful skills, understand workplace expectations and prepare for future employment.
Our goal is to make the transition from education to work easier by creating opportunities for young people to learn, gain experience and build confidence before they graduate.

Creating Jobs in Koforidua
As we develop our cold chain infrastructure, we anticipate the need for people with different skills to support our operations. These may include roles in logistics, transportation, cold storage, food processing, technical services and administration.
Our partnership with KTU creates an opportunity to connect local talent with the needs of our growing business. We want students and graduates to have a chance to contribute their skills and become part of the industry we are building.
For us, employment is about more than filling positions. It is about helping people earn an income, support their families and build a future for themselves.
We also believe that creating jobs locally can strengthen the wider community. When people have opportunities to work and earn, they can contribute to local businesses and economic activity.
Preparing Young People for the Cold Chain Industry
CryoChain is building a network of cold storage facilities, refrigerated trucks and hubs to help farmers preserve their produce and connect with markets more efficiently.
Making this system work will require skilled people who understand the technology, logistics and processes involved in moving food safely from farms to consumers.
By working with KTU, we aim to contribute to developing the talent needed to support this growing industry. The training and experience students gain could also open doors in agriculture, food processing, transportation and logistics.
We want young people to see these industries as places where they can build rewarding careers and contribute to meaningful change.

Growing Together with the Community
Our partnership with KTU reflects our commitment to growing alongside the communities where we operate. As we work to address post-harvest losses and improve Ghana’s food supply chain, we also want to help create opportunities for the next generation.
We recognise that unemployment is a challenge that requires long-term commitment and collaboration. While one partnership cannot solve it alone, bringing businesses and educational institutions together can help create practical pathways into work.
This MOU is a step towards building more than infrastructure. It is about developing local talent, supporting employment and giving young people opportunities to turn their education into practical skills and meaningful careers.
As we build in Koforidua, we want local young people to be part of that journey, learning, working and growing alongside us.
